About This Spot

Walking into Tanoshii Ramen, you immediately sense a welcoming, intimate energy that feels both effortlessly familiar and quietly electric. Tucked away on a bustling Brooklyn avenue, this ramen spot invites you to slow down and savor a moment of warmth amid the city’s rhythm. The space hums softly with casual chatter, the kitchen’s subtle clatter, and the aromatic promise of broths gently simmering — offering a comforting pause from the outside world.

Here, the experience unfolds much like a shared secret between friends. Whether you find yourself seated amid the steady flow of locals or grabbing a meal to-go, there’s a tangible sense of care woven into everything from the careful layering of flavors to the bright, curious touches on classic favorites. Each bowl is its own story — rich, unhurried, and thoughtfully crafted, carrying notes that surprise as much as they satisfy. The broth feels soulful, the noodles springy, and the toppings generous without overwhelming, creating a balance that echoes a deep respect for tradition with a playful spirit of customization.

Small plates add to the experience in more ways than one. The crispy edges of Brussels sprouts dusted with peanuts and jalapeños, or the tender snap of perfectly fried chicken wings, bring moments of delight in between sips and slurps. These bites speak to a kitchen attuned not just to hunger, but to the comfort of familiar textures and bold, comforting tastes that anchor the meal.

Tanoshii’s atmosphere pulses quietly with human moments — the nods of thanks between servers and guests, the shared smiles over a particularly good bowl, the gentle banter that turns strangers into regulars. It’s a place where the liveliness is subtle, the pace measured, and the connection feels authentic.

For those drawn to exploring new depths in a classic dish, or simply seeking a cozy corner and a well-made meal on a busy day, this Brooklyn gem offers a quietly memorable stop. The feeling lingers long after the last spoonful, inviting you to return and discover what new comfort a bowl might bring next time.

Loved the Chicken Bone ramen ,would highly recommend it . It was tasty flavourful and just enough spice (we took the extra spicy one ) It was enough for two people.

Never have I ever had VEG Ramen this flavourful!!! I was surprised by the taste as I ordered the veg ramen with low expectations but the broth was absolutely rich and soulful. One of the best ramens I’ve had in New York

I've literally been thinking about going back since my friend took me here a few weeks ago. Ramen was absolutely phenomenal. The broth was so rich and creamy. I got my soup spicy and it actually had a little kick. Plenty of meat in the ramen and their marinated eggs are delicious. I left stuffed. The price is decent too

The chicken wings are insanely good, perfectly crispy on the outside, bursting with flavor, and incredibly moist and tender on the inside. A must-order. The tonkotsu ramen itself was also excellent. I loved the variety of toppings and how fresh everything tasted. The broth had that perfect umami balance, rich, savory, and not overly salty. To top it off, the service was fantastic and the restaurant was spotless. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Hostess and Head Chef were very friendly and welcomed our party of 5. I always walked by here but finally a an Tonkatsu Ramen Low sodium option. With Takoyaki. 9$ Takoyaki is bit steep, but delicious. Definitely stopping by again should I have a Ramen mood. Place is small, so either come early or make reservations. Had a wonderful time.
